Today 7th march 2017 FDC Guild contestants debate is taking place in Makerere Marystewart Common room at 2pm. Come and watch as the party leadership debates and tussles it out to find out who will be the next Presidential flag bearer of FDC in the Makerere guild election which is slated at the end of this month or most probably early April . The party primaries are expected to be soon most probably nextweek on 14th march from a party source who said the official date had not yet been set.
The five aspects to be considered in the selection of the FDC guild president flag bearer others being; mobilization, college/delegates vote, general assembly vote, elders vote which each of the candidates shall debate on. The five aspects are mainly meant to ensure legitimacy and selection of the strongest and best candidate to represent the party.
It’s going to be televised live on NBS TV with Samson Kasumba as the lead moderator. In conjunction with Makerere Debate Union.
The debators (read contestants) are Wanyera Simon, Kato Paul, Namuganzi Florence, Obed Gui and Sabiti Silver.
The student moderators are Joel Macungizi and Samantha Ogwang.
