The late Brenda Natongo, daughter of General Katumba Wamala, was assassinated during a shoot out that happened earlier this week.
This incident happened as the driver and daughter of the general perished after being shot at with seven bullets.

Brenda Nantongo, 32, was with her father when armed assassins opened fire at their vehicle in Kisota village in the Kampala suburb of Kisaasi Tuesday morning.
According to reports, Christopher Katumba Kigundu, who is the eldest son of General Katumba, announced that the late will be laid to rest tomorrow on Martyrs Day.

A Vigil is going to be held at their home in Najjera, Burabira today on Wednesday 02nd June 2021 starting with a Service at 04:00 pm.

“She was very happy, she made us all very happy and we were all very proud of her and we are all going to miss her a lot,” said Christopher.
Brenda was last seen in public just a few days ago when she had escorted her father to take oath as Uganda Police Defence Force representative in the 11th Parliament.
Brenda went to Jinja and Aunt Claire Mengo for her Pre-Primary, Vicent Alex Primary School, Nakasero Primary School, Boma Primary Mbarara for primary education. She went to also Green Hill Academy, Nabisunsa Girls, Kabojja Secondary School for secondary education. Finally, she attended Claiton University Atlanta Georgia and Georgia Southern University Armston for university.
Brenda had just returned from Georgia to the United States with a PHD Degree in Public Health. At the time of death, she was working as a health worker at the Bombo Military Barracks.
She flew back to Uganda after her studies because she was patriotic and wanted to serve her people.
