Following the Minister of Education and Sports, Janet Kataha Museveni’s statement calling upon learners aged 18+ and their all staff in academic institutions to get vaccinated, Gulu university has kick-started the program.
This vaccination program however started with taking of the jab by medical students who were given a greenlight by the National Council of Higher Education to report back to school on 13th August 2021.
And having one of the best producing medical students school in the country, the university took up the program.
The University announced that the medical students have been given priority because they will be exposed to the virus since some of them work in health facilities.
