Two ministers fired by the Kyambogo University Guild President

Kyambogo University Guild president John Mbaziira recently fired two ministers from his cabinet team in two separate letters dated 28th September 2021.

According to the letters these were sacked for charges of misconduct, misrepresentation and disruption of guild affairs.

The guild ministers who were axed by the guild president are Kamya Carlos (minister of ethics and integrity) and Alphonse Nkurunziza(deputy Prime Minister).

The letters further informed the two ministers of termination of their official duties.

Kamya Carlos is accused of skipping cabinet meetings plus the summons handed to him to answer the same accusations.

Nkurunziza on the other hand is accused of misconduct and disrupting cabinet sittings.

The two are therefore expected to have quit their offices two days ago 28th September same date the letters were issued.

According to some sources, the duo is however set to defy these orders as they think the NUP guild president is after selfish interests and not those of the students.
