No classes for unvaccinated students at Kampala University and Bugema University

As per the President’s directive of reopening of post secondary institutions on the 1st of November, most institutions are in high gear to receive students after a long time.

These have gone ahead to issue tough guidelines in ensuring the safety of students and non students in regards to COVID 19.

Subsequently, Bugema University and Kampala University have announced that no student will be allowed to access lecture rooms minus presenting proof of vaccination.

Kampala University issued a circular in which it called upon all it’s students, lecturers and non teaching staff to report for vaccination at the school campus between October 28-31 2021.

The circular dated 20th October 2021 goes ahead to say that vaccination will smoothen the reopening and will be a requirement for anyone before attending lectures.

Head of Bugema University Richard Kanyerezi also announced that 78% of their staff have already undertaken the jab and added the exercise is running as expected.
