Uganda Christian University Mukono emerged victorious in the recently held Interuniversity Human Rights challenge.
The two day competition held at Gulu University attracted 12 Universities.
It was organised by Foundation for Human Rights Initiative under the theme of Promotion and Protection of Human Rights in relation to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
UCU floored the other Institutions while Makerere University and Bishop Stuart University came in second and third respectively.
Hosting this Interuniversity debate is one way to acknowledge the promotion of human rights issues in the community according to Prof Openjuru George Laddah the Vice Chancellor of Gulu University.
The debate was launched by Justice Tom Chemtai which was honored by the speaker of Parliament Hon Jacob Oulanyah.
