Makerere University has decided to extend the second semester for the 2020/21 academic year to allow students enrolment and registration.
It should be recalled that the University initially ended the semster II for the academic year 2020/21 to an end on the 15th of January 2022.
Many students however had neither enrolled nor registered for the ended semester because of a number of challenges.
Many of these originated from the transfer of students’ data from the old system (AIMS) to a new system known as (ACMIS).
The academic registrar Alfred Masikye Namoah therefore communicated to the students that the Institution has decided to push the semester closure to 22nd January in 2022 to enable all those students who have not yet enrolled and registered to do so.
This extension specifically is between 16th-22nd January 2022.
Therefore any one who fails to register in this period will have to deal directly with their college registrar.
