2012 London marathon Olympic gold medalist Stephen Kiprotich will be the chief runner for this year’s Makerere University Business School (MUBS) Alumni run.
The even which happens every year will be in it’s 4th edition.
This event was suspended last year due to the existence of COVID-19.
It will therefore take place this year on the 20th of March 2022.
The event will run under the theme of “Enable Women With Disability Get University Education.”
All the proceeds are expected to be channeled towards this cause. The event is slated to kick off at 6:45am.
Dorcus Inzikuru the Commonwealth Ugandan gold medalist and athletics legend is also expected at the event.
There will be categories of 5 and 10km. Each participant is expected to part ways with Shs 20,000.
“The Alumni and friends of MUBS as well as well-wishers, I call upon your positive response.Come and participate in this run in a bid to help support the education of the disabled girl child.” MUBS Principal, Prof. Waswa Balunywa urged well wishers.
