Retakers at Kyambogo University beat up lecturers and tear up other students exam sheets

There was chaos at Kyambogo University last week both resulting from the ongoing political campaigns and the random tests.

All this rowdy environment has seen some students lose concentration which forced some to gang up on their lecturers and beat them to pulp.

According to credible sources at the University retakers in the course of bachelor’s degree in Micro Finance under the Social Science Faculty beat up exam supervisors on the 6th of March 2022.

These lecturers who were supervising a test of this respective course stopped these retakers from entering the CTF building where the exam was being undertaken.

The retakers had come late after the test had commenced. These angered retakers decided to patiently wait outside the room thinking the supervisors would reconsider their decision and finally let them in.

However, this wasn’t be the case as the retakers saw the other students who had been doing the test walk out of the room after handing in.

The retakers decided to take matters into their own hands and entered the lecture rooms beating up the supervisprs so badly that some even got bruised and had to seek medical attention.

The retakers did not stop at this as they also tore up the answer sheets of the students who had earlier done the test.

These chaotic students then moved out of the hall chanting the popular strike slogan used by most Universities in the country “Wewe Wewe.”

A number of students who had done the test were however happy that the answer sheets were torn since the test was difficult and they hope it will be redone.
