Ugandan Opposition leader Col DR KIzza Besigye Blocked from attending AIGP Kaweesi’s Requiem Mass

Uganda opposition leader and former presidential aspirant Col Dr Kizza Besigye was blocked from attending the requiem mass of the slain Assistant Inspector General of Police Andrew Felix Kaweesi. Dr Besigye was from Ankara Magistrates court for harmonization of his bail extension and routine mention of his treason case.
Besigye’s claims have been confirmed from Uganda’s main opposition FDC Party officials. The Opposition party’s Deputy Secretary General Harold Kaija, claims Besigye was stopped by police officers from proceeding to attend the mass.

“Even in death Kaweesi has blocked Besigye from attending his requiem Mass. We judge them by their fruits,” he claimed.

“I am not surprised. These are the officers trained by Kaweesi and commanded by Kayihura. Together with Museveni these are very dark souls and we are judging the trio by their fruits.”

The mass at the cathedral was attended by very many notable figures among them was former Presidential Candidate John Patrick Amama Mbabazi.

On the day that AIGP Kaweesi was shot dead by unidentified people outside his home, Dr Besigye sent out a condolence message and appealed to government to bring in foreign experts to probe the crime.

Besigye also described the former Kampala Metropolitan Police Commander as clever, a quick thinking and empathetic police officer, who he said was entrapped in the ruling government.
