Pastor Aloysious Bugingo graduates with fake degree

It seems like House of Prayer International Ministries lead pastor Aloysious Bugingo can’t seem to get out of controversy. The latest is him being awarded with a null and void degree from Kayiwa International University (KINTU).

Bugingo graudated from this institution with a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and Integrated Studies. The pastor came out to reveal how he was so excited upon adding another achievement to his ‘glittering’ pastoral life.

“God has done it again for me. I also want to thank everyone who has been there for me. This is a reminder to everyone that despite their age, you can still pursue all your dreams,” Bugingo said.

His happiness was however short-lived as the National Council of Higher Education (NCHE) declared all degrees confered upon anyone from Kayiwa International University as invalid.

NCHE released a statement saying that KINTU was licensed by the council on 28th September, 2015 and gazetted in April 2016 under license number ULPL027. However in 2018 NCHE issued an intention to revoke the license before giving the university six months to work on their areas of weakness.

“On 23rd August 2019 during the 52nd sitting of the council revoked the license and this was gazetted in March 2020, published in the media and KINTU was informed,” NCHE said

Therefore anyone who receives any academic qualification from the University should know that they have attained a ‘kiwani’ qualification. This cannot be used anywhere in the world at all.

“We want to inform the General Public that the awards arising from today’s graduation by the defunct KINTU are not recognized by NCHE and should not be used for employment or further studies in Uganda or any where in the world.”
