Makerere University researcher loses battle to COVID-19

Prof. Noble Banadda who is a well-known researcher for Makerere University has succumbed to COVID-19. 

This sudden death occurred on Thursday 1st July 2021. The news was announced by Prof. Barnabas Nawangwe the Makerere University Vice-Chancellor on his official Twitter account.   

Banadda was the Head of the department Agric and Biosystems Engineering. The deceased was described as a young, talented and well-published professor.

Banadda the first African recipient of the Pontifical Academy of Sciences Pius XI Award passed on at the age of 46.
