President Museveni set to preside over Kyambogo University 17th Graduation Ceremony

President Museveni and first lady Janet Museveni are set to preside over the 17th graduation ceremony that is set to run for 3 days from the 21st-23rd of September 2021.

A total of 9,521 students are set to be awarded with honors from different disciplines after completing their studies.

Prof Eli Katunguka the Vice Chancellor said that this is the biggest number to ever graduate from the institution.

The event is set to be virtual due to the COVID 19 pandemic SOPs and the President will address the graduands from State House.

The event will go ahead as scheduled after a group of students petitioned the High Court to halt the ceremony citing that there names were missing.

The High Court however dismissed the case and Prof Eli Katunguka said that those missing either had retakes, missing marks or completed their theses late.

The Professor however promised that the marks of these will be rectified if indeed there was an error and have their transcripts available despite missing the grad ceremony.
