MUBS Denies Unvaccinated Atudents Entry Into It’s Premises

Nakawa based Makerere University Business School (MUBS) reopened it’s gates today to students for physical lectures.

This is a week after the official directive by the President to reopen post secondary institutions on 1 November 2021.

MUBS last week according to a released circular showed rest it would reopen today, November 8 unlike other institutions that reopened on November 1.

All students were however required to present their Covid-19 vaccination cards and those without them were sent back.

The dissatisfied students were left disgruntled and moving around Nakawa Health facilities for vaccination.

Evidence of vaccination has lately become a gate pass to enter majority universities so as to minimize the spread of the COVID 19 disease.

It is important to recall that MUBS will be carrying out examinations for practical courses this week.

Freshers are slated to report for physical classes today, 8th November 2021 while other students will continue to study remotely until 21st November.

Those in year two students will report for face-to-face studies from 22nd November 2021 until December 5th.

Other students will be studying online during this period.

Year three scholars will report for physical classes from 6th December – 19th December 2021. The university will hold special online exams for those who missed from 17th to 22nd December after which all students will study online.

All students will sit for examinations between January 17th and February 4th, 2022.
