TOP 5 GUILD CANDIDATES IN THE MAK GUILD RACE

Makerere Elections most likely to be scheduled for this Wednesday with the final freedom square rally on tuesday. The Makerere administration is set to meet on Monday & unveil fresh list of qualified candidates after one of the candidates Bayube Bruno was dropped from the list due to academic qualification leading to the postponement of the polls which were slated to take place last friday. Word on the ground is that more candidates could possibly be dropped with the final verification of the candidates taking place this monday. The campus256 media team has been on ground and will keep you informed here is a list of the Top 5 guild candidates from the past two weeks since the Guild race officially begun.

    1. SILVER KENT LWAMAZA.

The powerful gentleman and chairman of Livingstone hall had the largest processions alongside Bayube Bruno, who unfortunately was downed by the dean’s letter last week on Thursday. Silver who hails from the mighty college of health sciences has done a lot of ground work and seems to have garnered a great deal of support from Africa hall, the school of education , social sciences, other colleges and different student societies of Makerere. The candidate has been in the lead since rallies begun, this explain the propaganda and chemical being manufactured from other contestants against him.

    1. PAPA WERE

He is picking up each day, he is next to TALIWAKU in oratory  skills and seems to be getting a lot of support from Nkrumah and the entire north cote fraternity, Prime time was lit by his fans who kept on cheering with loud applause when his name was mentioned. The passionate activist hails from the college of veterinary sciences which does not boast of huge numbers which has seen him lag behind Silver Kent.

    1. Chiluba Fredrick

He hails from the college of computing which is one of the biggest colleges in Makerere University, he is the FDC flag bearer, but has failed to captivate his own hall of residence Mitchel hall which has been seiged by Taliwaku Julian alongside the entire mitchelex solidarity. This puts him 3rd in 84th guild race behind Papa were and silver.

    1. TALIWAKU Julian.

TALIWAKU is no doubt the celebrated orator in campaigns, he’s outstanding on the podium and dominates support from the Mitchellex solidarity. Taliwaku hails from the esteemed Law school of Makerere which explains his debating prowess. Despite the support he has received so far Taliwaku has not concentrated on ground work and used platforms like Kasolo media to spread chemical for other candidates instead.

    1. KINENE Edward

The UH backed candidate is supported by the state and recently acquired funds from certain high ranking individuals in government through NRMs Zilitwawula. With the state machinery Kinene Edward should be firmly in the lead but his ground work at the school of social sciences is wanting and divided, between him prize Mary and Silver Kent.
