Late Sheikh Nuhu Muzaata’s Widow crowned with a PhD

The ongoing 71st graduation at Makerere University has seen various public figures graduate with different honors this week. Among these were Kuluthum Nabunya Muzaata a widow to the late Sheik Nuhu Muzaata.

Kuluthum graduated yesterday with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) which is the highest honor in academics. The PhD Kuluthum attained was in Educational Management following an extensive research  study she has been undertaking.

The Makerere University 71st graduation ceremony started on Monday 17th May and will run until Friday 21st in a mixed setting. A total of 12,550 graduands is expected to attain their degrees and diplomas in their particular courses. This year’s grad has posted more females than males. The female students are 6,433 (51%) compared to 6,117 (49%) males.

The ceremony that kicked off yesterday saw Chancellor Prof Ezra Suruma award degrees and diplomas to graduands from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences as well as College of Education and External Studies.

Ever since the death of Muzaata, Kuluthum has been involved in various scandals especially with her in-laws. These included among others having a romantic relationship with her househelp. She however denied the allegations despite an audio of the two exchanging romantic words leaking. This however did not deter her from turning up glamorously adorning her graduation attire which she surely rocked.

Kuluthum also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education and a Masters degree in Educational Policy and Planning all from Makerere University. She also has a Certificate in Administrative Law from LDC and also works as a KCCA Supervisor on Education Operations.
